Mr GIOVANNI COLONNA, Counsellor
Giovanni Colonna is a warranted Counsellor and a member of the Malta Association for the Counselling Profession.
He has dedicated his professional life to mental health care and recovery support, working in Italy, the UK, and Malta as a caseworker and manager in residential community services for over ten years. His commitment to valuing clients’ lived experience has consistently guided his professional development.
Giovanni was awarded a Master’s in Counselling with Distinction from the University of Malta in 2024. He has provided counselling in a range of settings, including community, educational, and NGO environments. His research focused on the role of the counsellor’s acceptance as a core therapeutic condition.
Giovanni offers counselling to adolescents and adults, with an approach grounded in person-centred and psychodynamic principles. By placing the client’s experience at the heart of the therapeutic relationship, Giovanni is dedicated to fostering self-awareness and supporting his clients’ emotional growth and healing.
