Mr Matthew Portelli, Sports Psychology Practitioner
Mr Matthew Portelli is a Sport and Exercise Psychology Practitioner at MOVE, specialising in performance enhancement and overall wellbeing. He holds a Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology and works with individuals and teams to optimise mental performance, build resilience, and cultivate a healthy mindset in both sport and physical activity.
Matthew adopts a holistic and evidence-based approach, integrating cognitive-behavioural techniques, mindfulness, and goal-setting strategies to support athletes and coaches in achieving their full potential. His work focuses on developing confidence, focus, and motivation, empowering clients to perform at their best both in and out of competition.
In addition to his clinical and performance work, Matthew contributes to workshops and educational programmes that promote psychological skills training and the importance of mental wellbeing in sport. Passionate about the connection between mental and physical health, he is committed to fostering a balanced, resilient, and high-performing sporting community.
